Build a Small Business that Supports Your Big Dreams
Helping people reach their goals is amazing.
Turning that into a career that supports your own dreams? That’s even better.
You’ve probably heard that one in five small business owners throws in the towel their very first year. By year five, half have given up.
I’d heard those stats, too. But I craved a career that offered flexibility and left time for my fiction. So, I made it my mission to beat the odds—and created several multi-six-figure service-based businesses in fields where the median income is $55-67k (journalism, ghostwriting, and coaching). How?
By connecting with the people who needed me—and delivering on my promise to help them.
This sounds simple because it is simple. The wrong niche, murky messaging, and low-value offers are why so many small businesses fail. But if you can clearly state who you help and how you do that—then create real results—clients will hire you again and again. Equally important, they’ll sing your praises to others. (In fact, word of mouth has always been my most profitable form of marketing.)
Getting fully booked doesn’t require giving up everything else you love. I designed each of my businesses to work with my busy schedule—and my fiction career. Today, I write novels in the mornings, run my coaching practice in the afternoons, and spend most evenings and weekends with my family and friends. And I can’t imagine my life any other way.
Ready to be fully booked?
Odds are, you’re already the person others turn to for help in a particular area. Now it’s time to get paid well for the work you do. Whether you’re ready to start a business or want a lot more clients in the one you currently run, I created Fully Booked for you.
In this interactive, six-week program, I’ll walk you through the exact system I use and have taught to numerous coaches, editors, speakers, dietitians, real estate professionals, lawyers, therapists, and other service-based providers. My mission is for you to build a profitable, aligned business—fast.

FULLY BOOKED CURRICULUM
No matter what your industry, skillset, or niche, building a sustainable and profitable business requires you to be crystal clear on three things: your vision for your business; your value for your clients; and your visibility in your field. This program is designed around those core components. Here’s what we’ll cover:
-
Building a profitable business isn’t complicated—if you harness your own expertise. (I promise you already have this, even if you’ve never run a business before.)
In this lesson, you’ll get crystal clear on your strengths, then match them with the problems clients want to pay you to solve.
The result: You’ll choose a niche that’s as profitable as it is perfect for you. Note: You’ll want to take this step even if you have an existing business. Leveraging your unique experience and platform is the key to standing out, no matter how crowded your field.
-
Forget what you’ve been told about how to make money. How do you want your business to run? Whatever your vision, you can create that. In this lesson, you’ll discover how to let go of your misbeliefs about what it takes to be successful. You’ll also audit your schedule and existing commitments, then build a business model that’s perfectly suited to your life and goals.
Don’t worry: You’re not locked into your plan. This process is replicable, so you can return to it again and again if you decide to change niches or industries.
-
Choosing the right niche is a stellar start. But to get fully booked, your content needs to convey you’re the perfect provider for your ideal clients.
In this lesson, you’ll learn to create messaging that puts you in a category of one. In addition to a single high-impact message, you’ll craft bold statements that speak directly to your audience’s fears—and help them solve their problems before they spend a single dollar. The result? You’ll establish deep trust and get booked (while saving time and energy on content creation—no AI required).
-
Being profitable doesn’t require a funnel or a complicated marketing system. The most important way to make potential clients say, “I want to hire you” is to create a high-value offer. To do that, you find the sweet spot between your clients’ real desires and the results you’re sure you can help them achieve.
That’s true whether you’re selling hourly services, one-and-done work, or ongoing, high-touch packages. In this lesson, you’ll decide exactly what to offer, when to expand, and the fine art of pricing—so your offer attracts clients you love working with.
-
To get sales, you need to go where your clients are—and that rarely means social media. In this lesson, you’ll discover how to find people who need your help and establish expertise and trust. (That combo dramatically ups the odds they’ll hire you.)
Additionally, you’ll learn to pitch using the power of storyselling, which creates authentic connections while completely bypassing unaligned sales techniques.
-
The most profitable business is one without competition. Sounds impossible? It isn’t. In this lesson, you’ll learn simple principles that don’t just set you apart from the competition; they render it irrelevant.
This starts with breakthrough content but hardly stops there. A few small but crucial steps (which most business owners overlook) will ensure you become—and remain—the obvious choice in your niche.
Is Fully Booked Right For You?
Fully Booked is For You If:
• You work for yourself (or want to).
• You have at least two to three hours a week to devote to creating or growing your business.
• You run (or plan to create) a service-based business—that is, a business where you directly communicate with and help your clients. This includes: coaching; consulting; editing; freelancing for other companies; marketing; bookkeeping; healthcare and mental health services; financial services; real estate; and speaking.
• You’re a multi-passionate creative with another career or interest, such as writing fiction, art, or acting. (It’s okay if you want to just focus on your business! But most of my clients have more than one interest or career.)
Fully Booked isn’t For You If:
• You don’t have two to three hours a week to dedicate to creating or growing your business right now.
• Your business is wholesale or manufacturing-based, or your income is entirely from royalties from intellectual property (e.g. books, music, art, or software).
• You work for an employer and don’t have the ability to make major decisions that pertain to scheduling, pricing, and marketing.
• You are a partial owner in a business partnership and have limited ability to make major decisions that pertain to scheduling, pricing, and marketing.

FULLY BOOKED FAQs
-
The next round of Fully Booked will be in winter of 2027.
-
Personally, I value the ability to ask questions and communicate with my coaches and instructors. That’s why Fully Booked is an interactive program, rather than a standalone course. Even so, I know that schedules are complicated—and many of my clients live on the other side of the globe. All content is recorded and the program is designed to be flexible; participation is encouraged but never required.
-
You’re guaranteed access to Fully Booked materials for at least one year from when you purchase the program.
-
No, Fully Booked is only for the individual who purchased it. If you have a business partner or employee, you’re welcome to both enroll. But the content in this course cannot be referenced or used by more than one person. Violating that will result in immediate removal from Fully Booked and all other Even Better Co. offers without a refund.
-
That’s beyond my capacity in a group program like Fully Booked. You’re welcome to apply for one-on-one coaching, which includes personalized editing. I also encourage you to seek feedback from other Fully Booked participants and even from your clients.
-
I’ve worked with numerous clients who live with chronic illness. Likewise, I have a long history of serving neurodivergent creators and business owners, including those with ADHD and ASD. I regularly coach caregivers facing time and/or energy constraints, too.
To that end, all of my coaching—including but not limited to Fully Booked—is created with wellbeing in mind. Regardless of health status, pushing yourself to burnout is bad for business! You’ll find that my content reflects that.
Only you can decide if the timing is right for you. If you’re experiencing a flare or have a major procedure planned and worry this may keep you from focusing on your business, you may want to hold off until the next cohort of Fully Booked.
Important: This program does not provide financial advice or services. It’s designed to help you with structure and market a service-based business.
You don’t have to have a S-Corp or LLC set up in order to participate in Fully Booked. Even so, speak with a tax professional who’s familiar with small businesses. You’ll need to set aside part of your income for taxes, and they’ll guide you on the best way to do that.
Likewise, Fully Booked does not include sample contracts or provide legal advice. (Many professional organizations provide contracts and legal services, so check with those within your industry.)
